A couple of summers ago, I took a Yoga in the Classroom certification course at Karma Kids Yoga in NYC.  It was there that I was introduced to toe-ga.  Toe-ga is simply yoga for your toes, yet it has so many benefits.  Gather some pom poms and a bucket to practice toe-ga.

Spread the pom poms on the floor.

Have your child grab a pom pom with his/her toes and place it in the bucket.  My daughter started with large pom poms and gradually progressed to smaller ones.  She even began to pick up three at a time while balancing on one leg. Toe-ga increases gross motor control as well helps to develop balance, coordination and focus.
